  1. $60k this year, then how much next year?
I can understand raises but who else receives that much of an increase in one shot?
That lawyer is paid to get as much as he is able, the same way an injury lawyer does for a client .
That doesn't mean it is fair or ethical, being that the taxpayers who don't make as much are the ones who are forced to cover it.

  2. THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO DEMAND CITED SOURCES FOR PROOF THAT THIS ARBITRARY 42% INCREASE WILL BENEFIT THE STATE ANY WAY. THIS IS CORRUPTION AT ITS GREATEST, YET, THEY WILL TRY TO CONVINCE CONSTITUENTS THIS WILL REDICE CRIME. HOW? WILL A PAY RAISE GIVE JUDGES MORE TIME TO REVIEW CASE DETAILS? WILL THIS RAISE REDUCE CASE LOADS IN THE METRO AREA? WILL AN EQUAL RAISE TO SMALLER COUNTIES WITH SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER VASE LOADS BOLSTER OUR STATE'S JUSTICE SYSTEM? YOU TELL ME.

  3. The sponsor of this bill is clearly in kahoots with a judge or two. Hiring more judges to mitigate complacency currently seen in the majority of case loads is what will effect positive change. NOT a pay increase. But hey, money talks, que no?
