I’m ecstatic to have joined this team, and I did think that wouldn’t ever find somewhere that i really enjoyed working, but I’m going nowhere. I’ve got a condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, the effect is on my vision. With a disability it can often feel that you’re sort of on your own. What really motivates us to employ disabled people is that there’s a vast untapped pool of talent, not just in sheffield but across the UK. By giving just a little bit of extra support to our employees we get more work ethic, increase loyalty and retention which only means the company benefits by bigger profits. I would thoroughly encourage employers to take on disabled staff, it’s much simpler and easier than you may think.
