Seven steps of how to start a small online
business. If you follow the information that I’m going
to provide to you in this video. You’ll also have an unfair advantage over
97% of the people who want to start an online business now, you’re probably wondering what
is that unfair advantage of how to start a small online business? You see the online marketing industry is a
46 billion dollar industry. and only 3% succeed another word 3% generate
46 billion dollars a year and their income range anywhere between 15,000 to over 300,000
dollars a month not because they are smarter. They have higher IQ or the even educated. The reason is very simple they know more things
than the 97% that fail now the 97% that fail. the reason they fail is because there are
some information. They don’t know like the steps that I’m going
to show you in this video. So remember the information that I’m about
to give you are in sequential order another word. These steps are in sequence. You can’t do number three before you doing
number two and so forth. So don’t skip or bypass one single step. So, if you commit yourself to the information,
I’m going to show you in this video soon. You’ll be joining the three percent that generate
the 46 billion dollar a year. Step number one is Passion. You have to have a passion in order for you
to succeed. Not only on online also offline as well. If you don’t have a passion, it’s very difficult
for you to succeed in anything at all. So you have to have that passion. Mistakenly, some people think that they don’t
have a passion almost everybody has a passion, but some people don’t know how to bring it
about. That is not a problem. Because if you don’t know how to bring it
about, all you have to do is three things. One of them is put in the comment that you
want to know how to bring about your passion because there are some steps that I have that
can help you tremendously to know exactly what your passion is number to go ahead and

step by step. Step number two, which is foundation. Without a foundation. It’s going to be very difficult. Even if you have passion, which is Step number
one because a lot of the people I am talking about the 97 percent almost all of them. They start their online business without the
foundation that what I like you to do is think about the foundation as something that maybe
you are building. Something like you are let’s say building
a an Empire you build in your own building. Metaphorically speaking like your own Empire
your own building. Well, you can’t build floor number 2 before
you build in floor number one and it’s the same thing. You can’t build a floor number one before
you build your foundation. Now, of course, you have to have the right
equipment, which I call the success tools the success tools are very Similar to the
real thing, for example, if you want to create or if you want to build a building you have
to have for example to build your foundation. You have to have the right tool. like a earth-moving equipment to make the
digging you can’t like go and get a little shovel and start building a foundation of
a building. Right? So it’s the same thing as for online business
is very much the same and the success tools that I’m talking about. About I’m gonna put them in the description
area where you can have access to them. These tools are really not that complicated
but a lot of people that create courses or what have you they never teach them people
don’t know much about them and the people who would know exactly what to do with them
are the only one that actually survived and they are the three percenters that actually
generate almost all the 46 billion dollars that we see online. Line step number three, which is your skills. You have to have some kind of skills and I’m
not talking about very complicated skills, like some people when they hear skills. They think oh I have to be so good at something
not really as long as you have that passion and it doesn’t matter some people have a passion
of playing guitar for example, and they do make lessons and they sell their expertise
of how to for example learn guitar very quickly. So, Usually that’s why I talked about number
one is Passion because you skills you probably already have it, but do not sit there and
try to be perfect these skills because a lot of times people overdo it with perfection
and you really don’t need to overcomplicate things. As long as you have the basics you’re good
to go. step number 4, which is transformation a lot
of people are looking for Action and they’re not looking for just information. you can use information to transform somebody
what I mean by that is that when people are online, for example, they do have a need they
do have a problem. Okay, and if you a person to provide the solution
by information in the form of a product, that’s what I call the power of 3 because there’s
a person who has a problem you do have a solution and the common denominator is actually the
internet. So that’s what transformation is all about. It’s for you to transform the person from
whatever the problem that they have into a solution not just information, but you can
provide a good information that does the transformation and solve that problem. tip number 5, which is delivery. How are you going to deliver your product
to who just purchased it? Let’s say you have a person that just bought
your product. How are you going to deliver it? What medium are you gonna use now? Some people, they fail because they haven’t
thought about that very, well. They didn’t give it a good thought you need
to understand and you need to know exactly before you get started when somebody purchased
your product. You need to know how to deliver it. now I did mention before and the Sales funnel
system. They do also have a course delivery system. So if somebody bought that product through
that sales funnel, they’ll be able to go straight to the course in case you are delivering your
product by course, the other method could be an autoresponder or something else like
a download platform, but it’s very important to know before you get started about the delivery
system that you’re going to be using before you get started. Tip number six, which is automation automation
is very important to your online products without automation is going to be very difficult
for you. Another word. Imagine. If somebody put in an order for you to purchase
something from you, then you got to go and you got to find a computer. Then you have to go online. Then you have to deliver the product. It’s very difficult to do it that way because
you need to be able to have this done. Automatically without you even being involved
in other words, you could be on vacation or you could be sleeping and the delivery of
the product will take place either way. step number seven, which is scaling. Now. What is scaling scaling is Imagine like you
are using an escalator to go up you want to scale your business up. There is the right way to do it and there
is the wrong way to do it and again even this step also goes back to step number two, which
is the foundation without the foundation is going to be very difficult to accomplish your
scaling. Now, there are two types of scaling the wrong
one and the right one when the people using the wrong one. What they do is say is “I am selling products
things are going Okay”. So what I’m going to do now, I’m going to
go spend time on finding some other product for me to sell which is Okay to do but before
you do that, you want to maximize your conversion before you do that. It doesn’t make sense. If you conversion is low and it’s in need
of improvement and you are spending time on something you really don’t need to do at this
point. The first thing is you want to maximize the
return on the investment that you already have, which is you created a product and you
want to maximize the return the right way to do that is to. go ahead and maximize your conversion rate. Actually this is the conversion method that
is tied into “the tracking system” that I have mentioned to you in the success tools
because you cannot improve anything that you cannot measure you have to measure everything
before you go to the next level and start making or creating other products to sell
to your existing customers and to the new customers. now you have all the information and the know-how
of how to start a small business online. Now what I’d like you to do in case you like

6 Things to Consider in Your First Year of Owning a Business


– Do you think an investor
will give me some money? – If you have a well thought
out business plan (laughs) – I will now thanks to this video. – Yeah. – It’s going brutal (laughs) Alright so you got your
business up and running, it’s the first year, now what? What do you do besides, celebrate, celebrate? – Well, after celebrating, you really want to, really
figure out what the foundations are of your business, but before you jump in,
you’re running your business, it gets tough. You have to remember to give
yourself some self-care. – Get your z’s. – Get your z’s, get your zen. You’re probably working,
I don’t know, 40, 50, 60, possibly more hours a week. And you can forget about
you, and you are important. If you get burnt out, then
that business suffers. So Em, what do you do
to get that self-care? Do you sleep for 20 hours a day? What is it? – Okay that’s excessive, but I’m all about the eight hours. Also, eating a well-balanced meal. I’m a big plant-based gal
for all you vegans out there. That keeps me refreshed,
feeling healthy, spry, also making sure to balance
my social life as well. ‘Cause I know, I work remote personally, so I’m at home, it’s easy to get the clocks strike 5:30
and you’re still working, ’cause it’s just like, you’re
in that work mode zone, so you gotta make sure to
really schedule out your days and ensure that you get
exercise in, a social life – Yes, absolutely. Social life is huge. Many of us, solopreneurs who
are just working by ourself or maybe with a small team, we get trapped in our
bubble and then we look up, it’s bedtime, and when we
wake up, and then we work on the business, and we
go to sleep, and it’s just a never-ending cycle. – Yeah, and then you get burned out, and then your business is
also going to experience that which brings me to, I know you
have a lot of info on this, the team that you cultivate as well, ’cause those are like people
you’re gonna be around, day in and day out, fulfilling
your goal and your mission. – Right. Like even if you’re a solopreneur, you still wanna surround
yourself with like-minded people. – That’s why I surround
myself with Nealey. – So many of us, again solopreneurs, we don’t have that team but
there are lots of places where you can find those
like-minded people like Em here. There are meetups you can go
to, they’re absolutely free and you can find people that like the same stuff that you do, or check out maybe a
local coworking space. There’s a ton of people just like you
– And free coffee. – Free coffee, usually
free beer with membership. I may know (laughs). – What’s next? What should I consider doing next in my first year of business? – Yeah so stick to the foundations. The foundations are never any fun, it’s not the fun side
of running a business, but they are so so so very important, and probably the first
thing that you should do, even just starting a business, is to register your
business with your state. Many people do this by filing as an LLC or a sole proprietorship. Probably the most common though is LLC. It helps protect your business
from your personal assets. – Question. Okay, LLC, I’ve seen this, and when my friends were doing their taxes and I would start to brainstorm, okay I see LLC, why are you
LLC versus Inc. versus Co.? How do you decide on that? Does it matter the type of
business you’re running, or the state you’re in, or? – It really depends on the
business that you’re running, and the team that you have behind it. So what I would recommend
is your state will have some information on how
to file your business, and give you some information
on what’s right for you. Should you be an LLC? Should you be a sole
proprietorship or a partnership, or a corporation? What does that look like? – Alright Nealey, so I’m having
flashbacks to my childhood when I wanted to be an entrepreneur, and I’d think about
having a business plan, and that’s when my parents would ask me, “Okay so you wanna own
an amusement park, cool, but what’s your business plan?” And so I’m thinking
about now, as an adult, and the entrepreneurs listening in in their first year of business. Real talk. Business plan, is that something you need to be doing right now, and
how do you go about that? How do you organize that? How much information do you need to know, or can you wing it? – Definitely don’t wing it. There’s a lot of business owners, especially just starting out,
solopreneurs, they’re like “Cool I’m just gonna
start my business and go.” But the business plan
keeps them locked in, helps them really find that
foundation that they’re gonna need to stand on when they start to really grow their business. Now business plans are pretty lengthy and it does take a ton of time to create. There are plenty of sites out there that’ll help you generate those, but we’re gonna go over some
of the different sections of a business plan, hopefully it’ll help you out a little bit. Alright Em, so the first
section of a business plan is the Executive Summary. Now you can really think
of this as the cliff notes for the entire document. It’s gonna give a little bit
about what that business is, the market it serves, and some information so if anyone were to read
this, like potential investors for your business, they know
what they’re gonna get into. – Okay so number two, don’t worry, I got this one Nealey, you wanna have a Business Description. What is your concept? So let’s go back to my amusement park. – Okay, let’s do it. – I think it should be a pizza park, because
– A pizza park? – What else would you wanna
eat and possibly throw up after a roller coaster ride? Pizza of course. – Those tilt-a-whirls are – It’s going brutal, (laughs) but that’s my, that is my concept. – Alright so number three
in your business plan is the Industry Analysis. Now going back to your pizza park, it’s really just an
overview of your industry. Who are the major
competitors in your industry? How do you rank up in that list? And just the market
itself in that industry. Alright Em, so with your competition, can you give us a little insight of who your competitors might be, and how you would stack up against them? – Yeah, so no big surprise
in the amusement park world, a few that are my
competitors would be like a Six Flags or, Disneyland or, what’s one of your favorites? – I think as a kid I used
to go to Busch Gardens a lot in Florida. They had the Sheikra ride,
that 90 degree straight angle, scared the, everything out
of my mom, it was fantastic. – He threw up pizza. So back to my amusement park. What makes me unique is that
it is this pizza-themed park. So not just the best slices of pizza from all different kind of themes, like we have the New York style, the deep dish Chicago style. – What’s your favorite? What style? – This is a little embarrassing, because it’s really boring, but I just like a good cheese pizza, like I am Kevin off of Home Alone, it’s just, I prefer dairy-free. – Chicago style or New York style? – In between the two. – Okay, you heard it here first. – And then also what’s
unique about the park is that everything is pizza-themed,
even the rides. So there’s a bunch of, really bizarre-looking
rides because they’re shaped out of like pepperonis, and
dripping cheese for the slide, but it really sets me
apart from everyone else, and fun fact, all the prizes that you can win too, are also pizza-themed.
– Pizza-themed. Heck yes. I’m here for it. – Cool. Come on down. Get you a deal on your summer. – Come on down to pizza park. (laughs) – Okay so another thing that comes up, here I’m just one person, I’m gonna have an amusement
park to draw in a lot of people, I need a good team, how do you go about organizing that? Who’s gonna do what? What’s the organization
of this pizza park? – Right. And that’s number four. That’s the organization
in your business plan. Who’s gonna run it? Is it just you? Are you going to have a team? Are you gonna have a board of directors, and investors, and all this good stuff? And that’s where you map that all out, so you really have that
plan when you go to start your amusement park, ’cause
I know you’re awesome, you can do a lot, but you can’t be running
from ride to ride to ride stopping and starting it, plus running the business,
– That’s a lot of work. – Plus eating the pizza, I get it. You need people. – Yeah I worked at an
amusement park, fun fact, when I was 16, and it was just enough doing one ride, and you just pull a lever
and then you stop it, but kids are, – It’s riveting.
– they are a mind of their own. Mind of their own. – Alright so number five is
your Financial Projections. Now I’m not saying you’re gonna go with, “I’m gonna make a million dollars,” and that’s it. – What are you talking about? – My projection. Now this is
– That was my plan. – This is what your budget is, how much you’re gonna be spending, what you’re projected to make. Not every business is profitable in their first year of business, that’s more like two,
three, and five years. You really want to have that plan, that projection of what you think with the industry and the competitors and the market and your customers and how much you’re selling tickets for, all in that little projection there. So, do you have projections
on your business? Are you gonna be making a
million dollars that first year? What are we doin’? – Well, maybe we should sit down over some pizza and talk about this, but I just kinda feel really confident about my business model. I’m just thinking put it together, however much money it
costs to put this on, what have you, that’s fine. The customers are just
gonna come rolling in. – If you build it they will come? – Yes, field of dreams right? – Yeah. – Yes I got it, movie trivia point, Emma. So yeah I just hadn’t really thought about the exact numbers. – We’ll go over that. – Okay thanks. Thanks. Alright so with everything
we’ve talked about, now we are at number
six which is, investor, you have a great idea, you have a well thought out plan, now you gotta go and get an investor, get that money. Right? – Absolutely. That’s the whole point.
– Show me the money! – Show me the money, give me the money! But you want to, you’re building this business
plan to get investors, that’s one of the main key points of this, that investors don’t wanna just hand out their money anywhere. Have you seen Shark Tank? They’re not just saying yes to everyone. They have a plan.
– They’re very picky. – Very very picky, and that’s why you have your business plan, it’s well thought out, well written, and that last part, that investor request, or that finance request is really to say, here is exactly what I’m asking for, and then let the negotiation continue. – So with my idea being pizza park, and what we’ve discussed, the themes, the uniqueness, the vibe, the fun, do you think an investor
will give me some money? – If you have a well
thought out business plan. (laughs) – I will now, thanks to this video. – Yeah! – So let’s say good news,
the investor likes my idea, and I did in fact get the
money to pursue my idea. Next thing I’m thinking of is, keeping track of how
much I’m spending, where, how do I look for a return on investment? How do I keep that all organized, because I’m gonna be dishing money out in all sorts of places. What are your recommendations though from your experience, Nealey, with keeping track of ROI? – Yeah especially in your first year you have to keep track
of literally everything. And now what a lot of people
do is they go Gung-ho and crazy and start spending their
money on a bunch of things ’cause they think they
need everything right now. But what I would recommend is go lean, and really focus on your ROI, or your return on investment. Make sure the money
that you’re dishing out to your amusement park, you’re dishing out with your business is actually getting customers back. ‘Cause at the end of the day, if you run out of money, and there’s no more investors, there’s no more business. So focus on that, and you can do that with
some bookkeeping software, like QuickBooks is the
main competitor out there. There’s GoDaddy Bookkeeping, there’s many many other ones as well that’ll help keep track of your income, your expenses, and even
help you with tax time, or tax season rather. – I love that. Help you stay organized. Definitely check out
the resources you have, will make your life a lot easier, and, – So much easier.
– Your bank account happy. – Yeah we gotta keep
the bank account happy. How else are you gonna
buy all of this pizza? – Otherwise you’ll just be, at home sitting on the
couch eating cheap pizza, and that’s depressing. So I imagine with
everything we’ve discussed, and I know this comes up
a lot with social media when I’m educating on best practices, trial and error. Expect it. It’s going to be definitely something that you need to embrace, trial and error. Also just keeping in check
with how your team is doing and make sure they’re
on board with the goals and the success and your struggles, so open communication is key too. But expect to have some trial and error, would you agree? – Absolutely. One of my favorite little
quotes or whatever is, “Failure is feedback.” Failure is not the end of the road, it’s something that you learn to kind of grow and just becomes the
better you or better business. So fail early, fail often,

have merchant account and everything is included in here so definitely a great
way to get started with it and it can be tons of product that you can find on
Alibaba for example you might find something on eBay and whatsoever there
are so many resources to get started with e-commerce actually so that is the

with something else that you might be good at you might be good at writing and
you could be a writer so it doesn’t require any special costs there either
because you’re working from home and all you need is an internet connection and
of course a computer and by just giving you a quick idea there are so many sites

need is grab the link and promote that and you will earn a commission so that
is also why it is the most popular method to get started with and one of
the most popular platforms is Amazon really simple because they do have
millions of products that you can promote here to earn a commission from
and what I also like about Amazon is that they have a 24 hour cookie so when
people get in there let’s say that you promote a computer and they buy a pair
of headphones you make a commission from for the headphones to so that is really
cool I’ve seen some crazy things that I never actually promoted that I got
commission from so that is what I like about Amazon and I did a video also you

less is it possible can it be done this is
the question can it be done with less than $100 so let’s see what we’re going
to actually be doing guys is going through the steps and the cost laid out
for you on this page we’re gonna take you through step by steps you can see if
it’s possible and if you want to do something like this to start making
money online but just important move on guys I want to let you know that this is
not drop shipping this is not I’m not going to just add a YouTube channel I’m
not going to teach you how to do webinars or we’re not going to talk
about how to sell your own course okay you don’t know what webinars are don’t
worry it’s irrelevant so I’m not gonna talk about these four things guys for
this usually what people you know link to making money online at a lower budget
they usually talk about these types of methods but we are not going to be doing
that today my goal is of course to show you how you can make money on less than
$100 $100 more like how to start a business on less than $100 and can we
actually do it and I’m going to be showing you two methods to guys with two
ways of how you can actually achieve this one of one of them is a more
traditional way and one of them is my favorite way of doing it

but this trend is absolutely massive and it’s the online education trend and the
best thing is is you don’t need your own course however you can make money from
other people’s courses and it’s called affiliate marketing but we’re going to
show you how to do it properly well you don’t have to spend any money on
advertising and you don’t have to go out and beg people to purchase someone’s
course from you and spam all over the place to make yourself look like a bit
of a clown I’m gonna show you how to do it properly on a super low budget and
yes it will be below $100 we’re going to try and do that anyway so this is a
billion dollar market guys that’s growing at a absolutely insane rate is
only getting bigger and bigger these courses everywhere and people are making
millions billions of dollars from in this market right we do very well
selling courses ourselves now how much money can you make guys all of these
people on the screen and doing the exact myth that I’m about to teach you these
are people who are affiliate marketers for my courses right this is a 30 day
payment schedule so we have paid out to one affiliate over $40,000 in the last
30 days $40,000 guys and these are we’ve got
hundreds of them these are just 21 of them so what happens guys is you go and
find courses and they will pay a 50% Commission usually so you get 50% of
whatever they’re selling it for could be $200 a thousand dollars and I’m actually
gonna show you a way that you can make money from people’s courses that don’t
have an affiliate program they don’t actually pay out commissions but I’ll
show you how you can actually make money from their courses which is really
really cool this is the second myth that I talked about so guys there is lots of
money to be made and doing this stuff and it is very simple to set up I’m
going to show you step by step and I’m going to show the cost so I’m going to
take you through the more traditional way first then I’m going to take you
through the bitter way that is going to make you more money with less work and
then I’m going to give you an extra tip at the end on how you can build our
assets and build a long-term business doing this with little than a hundred
dollars guys you can build it out to an online business so the first thing we
want to do guys is step one we will need a website for this and it’s not very
hard to start a website stuff going to show you so step number one is
get our website and name okay that’s step number one you need to do
that and you need to pay for a website guys don’t be cheap and trying to offer
for free and trust me if this doesn’t work very well so let’s jump into my
Google guys and I would recommend Bluehost they do door deal with me
however there’s other ones you can use as well now some people might be saying
I don’t want to buy a website I don’t want to spend money in a web site
guys web site is so cheap nowadays you should have one I’ve got hundreds of web
sites in my affiliate businesses and other things I’m doing drop shipping
stuff they’re so cheap now literally so cheap so what you want to do guys is go
to your favorite web site hosting platform ok and go to get started or
whatever you’ve got to do and you’re going to get a domain name and you’re
going to get a plan now I’m gonna click on these select here and we’re going to
go to the plan how it and I’m going to just choose a a name here now the name
doesn’t really particularly matter too much I mean honestly it doesn’t for the
Smith it you can just put anything I’m going to put Frank’s reviews okay I’ve
made for the thing it there doesn’t really matter in this particular method
so just put like most of my affiliates have just weird named websites or random
names or even just their name so for example Franklin Hatchett calm or
something right so I’m gonna go to next guys and this is going to be your domain
name your website name okay and I’m going to show you how to get traffic
guys without putting a much work don’t worry go down and fill in all the
details guys and you want to select the 12 month plan it’s a little bit more
expensive it’s going to cost you fifty nine dollars and forty cents per year
extremely cheap you can uncheck site lock and tech code guard but I would
recommend leaving on domain privacy okay you don’t have to if you don’t have that
on it’s going to cost you fifty nine dollars if you do have that on it’s
going to cost you $71 per year I’m going to uncheck that okay and we’re going to
get this fifty nine dollars and forty cents so that is our first cost okay
fifty nine dollars and forty cents let me just redo that sorry guys forty
cents okay as our first cost number one now once
you actually go through this guy I’m not gonna actually show you how to set this
up cause it’s very easy you just go down put in your credit card details click
Submit and they’re going to take you through the process of starting a
website with what we call the WordPress platform it’s very very easy to use and
once you actually set up the WordPress platform it’ll take you to a dashboard
that looks like this okay this is one of my websites and what it’s going to do
guys is you’re going to have a lot of a lot of kind of features okay and I’m
going to go through that in a second but first I want to actually show you what
we’re going to be doing okay it’s very very simple let me kind of take you
through what we’re actually going to be doing so guys step number one is get the
website a name alright we’re going to actually go to step number two and a
second because you have to actually find some stuff to sell however I’m going to
show you the kind of process here let me just I’m trying to do this as fast as
possible about step by steps you understand if I go to econ elites econ
elites review there’s all these websites that shop guys and these are people that
have reviewed my product okay so this is where all of these commissions are
coming from and to write the content is completely free it doesn’t cost any
money they do the articles themselves and let’s kind of just go over some here
I don’t really want to expose their sites but you know there’s sorry guys
but you go through in it and it’s just a simple article because what people do is
they go online and they will search they will search Franklin Hatchett review or
econ elites review and these guys had their affiliate links in there and they
get a commission now when you when it costs you 50 bucks nine dollars to start
a website you can make that back in like two Commission’s or one commission
depending on the product you’re promoting and the good thing is is is a
really really low competition in Google so you can get your website ranked quite
high in these search results and start to get traffic guys you don’t need a lot
of traffic these guys are making money forty thousand dollars in 30 days 1,000
dollars in 30 days 800 dollars in 30 days the proof is there the money is
being made so once you actually start to get your website going you want to it’s
really simple so this is kind of how it looks like but you want to actually
find courses to read you now the easiest way is just to go to youtube and find a
Shopify guru or a affiliate marketing guru or just someone selling a course
okay contact them and say hey I want to promote your course and they’re going to
give you an affiliate link and you can promote that okay that’s the traditional
way however the way that I recommend you highly recommend you do is go to youtube
find someone that is new to the industry and the trying to sell a course go to
their particular course now they’re not going to have an affiliate system that
you can sign up to but that’s okay what you’re going to do is because they’re
new you’re going to take their name so this one is zero to six com
I think that’s what her courses called yep go to zero to six and I’m gonna
actually put that into YouTube and into Google guys and go review and you want
to look for two things okay first of all sorry first of all is there anyone else
ranking for this keyword no there’s not the reason and that’s a good thing
because that means that it’s going to be easy for us to go and rank for that
particular keyword and the second thing or local guys is just what kind of
websites are on the front page just go and kind of have a look and just see if
they’re big Authority websites you’re gonna have a bit of a hard time ranking
but if they’re not you can go out and rank in these in these particular things
now you might be thinking how do I go make money from this person when she
doesn’t even have an affiliate program guys it’s simple you go and write a
review in WordPress which I’m going to show you how to do in a second you write
a review about her particular product you can ask you can go on contact her
and say hey I would like to write a review can I can I get a copy can I have
a look on something and she might say hey yeah you can you can do that here’s
my affiliate link or if she doesn’t have an affiliate link you can write about
her product and recommend someone else’s course now the reason you want to do
that is because number one she is new to the industry people are going to be
searching for her and sorry number one people gonna be searching for her number
two there’s no competition no one else has done reviews on her course this is
my secret method and this is how a lot of people are making money with
affiliate marketing by promoting other people’s courses in the
and this online you know in the industry online so it’s very very simple guys now
so yeah traditional method go and find your
favorite guru and say how when I write a review about your course and they’ll
give you a fill-in link okay and you can go and rank it and but the problem with
that is is a little bit of competition the second method which is the best you
gonna find a course that doesn’t have an affiliate your affiliate system see if
they do and someone that’s new to the game because there’s less competition
and you can rank higher okay there’s not as much search volume however it doesn’t
really matter too much we need to do is make back 50 all you need to do at this
point is make back to fifty nine dollars and 12 months which you can easily do by
doing this particular method so what do you do guys it’s really simple we want
to go and create articles like these ones and simply get them ranked in
Google when people search for particular store review and stuff sorry
course review and stuff like that it’s quite simple to do
alright let me show you I’ll show you literally inside I’ll show you right now
it’s really easy so first you want to once you sign up and get your website
going that you literally just paid 56.50 nine dollars for extremely cheap do you
want to get a cheaper monthly deal you just go for the longer term so two or
three years but we’ve done the the last one so step two guys is to find a course
to write about or find a course you can compare to another course and promote
the other one okay now this might seem like hey why are you promoting another
course when you’re talking another one guys this internet everyone’s doing this
this is just standard affiliate marketing however a lot of people you
know the online education niche is booming so there’s still a lot of room
for people to get in so that’s tip number two guys find the course to write
about it what’s step number three okay and guys this is free to do so this is
free step number three is write an article write it guess what guys you can
pay someone if you want but we want to keep we want to keep under this hundred
dollars so what do you do right and article once again this is free this one
costs to win your money you can just do it yourself so step 2 find a course and
write about it okay see if have an affiliate link and if they don’t then
you just compare it to another course like I’m not going to show you my
affiliate websites because they probably don’t want me to but if you go search it
you commonly through you’ll see but Davis right about it and then they
have a little affiliate link down here get it here that’s an affiliate link or
their write about someone else’s dropshipping course and then mention
mine because it’s cheaper and stuff okay now once you actually have your website
started guys it’s simple you want to do first of all you want to go to our
plugins okay and you want to put in the plugins section sorry you want to go to
let me just go to here add new plugin okay this is a first step and you need a
plug-in called the CEO Yost put an SEO in the search bar there and go to a
ghost SEO and install this okay I want to show you how to use this to rank your
website on the top of Google so when people search EECOM elites review best
e-commerce review or Franklin Hatchett review people that you know see like if
we search guys like I said if we search econ elites review with where is it here
all of these websites show up and if we click on them guys there’s an article
and people are going to click on there and people are going to make money the
person that owns this website is going to make money from affiliate commissions
okay and you know I’m just using my courses as an example you can go on
promote anybody’s cost I’m not telling you to buy my course so yeah install
Yoast SEO guys okay now the second thing you want to do guys is you want to go to
post you actually want to put an install a theme so that’s pretty easy as well
you can just go to down to appearance guys and go to themes and you can pick a
theme to install on your website now the front of your website doesn’t matter too
much because we’re not trying to rank that particular page in Google we’re
trying to rank what we call the inner pages so you just install a theme
a free one that’s fine for now um now when you sign up to Bluehost awaiting a
platform you want to use they will show you how to log in and the store
WordPress and get to this point okay it’s very simple now you want to go to
PI you want to actually create a post okay
only go to add new now they’re a three really important things you want to do
right now number one is the title is very very important because that’s going
to have to get ranked at the top the article is very very important as well
and then the Yoast SEO plugin is very important as well now let’s pretend that
we are trying to rank for the keyword EECOM elites review now to you just not
think about my course for a second you’ll just change the course name so I
don’t know anyone off the top of my head Tai Lopez bla bla review is some guru
and so let’s just say econ elites review first of all guys to get ranked on the
front page of Google when people search to see to get your website to show up
you want to copy this guys and you want to make sure it’s at the front of the
post title okay okay this is really important and then put something there
and go is is it right for you the reason I want to put ekam elites review
personal title is because that’s what google recommends next guys you want to
actually write your article okay so I love this course because of this blah
blah blah now I’m not going to obviously write out a whole article here it’s very
simple you just put in your your content okay now inside here guys you want to
put your read your keyword inside the article a few times I recommend one one
per 200 words okay you don’t want to overdo it so for every 200 words you
want to you want to repeat the word EECOM elites review so I might say in
this and this econ elites review I would love to show you this and then maybe
show them inside the course or something like that or I would love to talk about
this just make sure you have econ elites review in there a few times and make it
natural okay now obviously if you were going to compare my course to somebody
else’s so let’s say hey Franklin doesn’t have a affiliate program you
would put an e-commerce review as well but you’ll also put keywords from the
other person’s course as well as that will help you as well now just I did

you know it doesn’t have to be mine obviously
and in fact we’re not even open to affiliates at the moment so please don’t

make sure you have some content in here I would recommend at least 1,000 words
okay there should take you around about half an hour to an hour to write that
out not long at all so you’ve spent fifty dollars guys to get started super
super easy and you can get an article up within an hour next guys is the
important NIT is the next important part so what Yoast is going to do guys is you
can change the title and this is going to be what shows up when people actually
search let me just see if I can get okay let’s put it on here this is going to be
what shows up when people actually search for that term okay so this guy
have a look here so I’m going to put once again put econ elites review and
then put I just reviewed reviewed sorry about my spelling guys this course and
this is what I found you want to kind of leave with a question at the end or like
a cliffhanger because this is what people first see you want people to
click on your article and the more people that click on your article the
more Google sees that people like your content so they put it up in the and the
search engine for you right so I had just reviewed this course and this is
what I found people I hey what are you fine I’m gonna click on this alright
then you also want to put in the mirror description some content as well now I
don’t recommend you put EECOM elites first in the middle description because
it becomes over optimized then and google also like that put something like
um I just went and looked at Franklin’s course and this is
my econ beliefs review that I think you will love obviously write something
better than that okay and what I’m going to do now guys
is actually click I’m gonna click publish we’ll publish this particular
article and what I’ve done is I’ve simply gone econ elites review is it
right for you if we go preview changes real quick you’ll kind of see what’s
going on here so II kama leaps review is a right for you and here’s my content
and then it’s a bit messy guys if you want to know how to actually make your
site look good you could learn that for free as well I
have some tutorials on there or you can simply go on YouTube and find some
tutorials and how to make your website look nice this is an a tutorial on that

rank in Google and then when someone goes and looks for that course review or
that course information or something like that hopefully you will show up at
the top and you will put your affiliate link in and get some money now and so
what we’ve done guys is we’ve done the title we’ve done the URL that’s all
that’s called we’ve done the article here there’ll be a lot more there when
you do it and then we’ve done the the SEO description down here now how do you
put in an affiliate link guys it’s very easy so you might put some words here by
the course here you highlight this guys and click on the little chain link up
here and then just put in your website so HTTP colon slash slash online dimes
comm which is another one of my websites and then I’m just going to go apply now
when I click update guys and I go to preview this again I have now a link
here that links back to one of my other websites when people click on that they
will go back to my website online dimes calm there loads of it slow and and then
then we’ll link back to the course that you’re trying to promote and you will
get a fifty percent commission if they purchase but the whole aim of the game
guys is to think outside the box that’s really critical you can go and do
articles on course review and stuff and that’s fine on some of the biggest
courses and the in the industry but it’s going to be hard to rank so
you want to go for new courses that have just come out if they have an affiliate
program because they will start to get popular and you want to also go for
courses that don’t have an affiliate program so you can compare them to
another course that has an affiliate program and you’re basically what it’s
called it’s called jacking their traffic traffic jacking you’re taking the
traffic from the other course and recommending another course that has an
affiliate link guys so I’ve literally just showed you how you can go out there
and start a website for $59 guys and forty cents come on guys that’s cheap
man like that’s under $100 you saw a little bit more to go step to find a
course to write about guys you can do it for free there is hundreds of YouTube
channels with people selling courses right now I get people contacting me
every day asking to be an affiliate for me people are doing this guys people are
doing this guys and they’re getting results they’re getting literally
results from exactly what I’m showing you on the screen there’s no excuses I’m
literally laying it right out on the table for you obviously I can’t show you
everything step-by-step because we’ll be here forever I can’t show you how to do
the website and stuff and make it pretty you can go and do some research and how
to do that yourself but I’m laying everything out here guys and how you can
do this now you’ve found the course you go write the article it’s simple step
three is to go and write the article okay and then step four is to post the
article okay so step four guys is to post the article and once again guys
that’s free to do I just showed you how to publish an article now what’s step
number five what’s the extra trick I was talking about insight at the start of
this training guys with your website you want to actually have what we call email
forms and you want to collect emails and build an email list this is critical to
starting your online business I have an email list of hundreds of thousands of
people I can go and send an email right now in fact I just did a launch on my
course last week and I sent out emails a couple of emails did six figures right
heaps we did really really good and that’s from sinning a few emails so you
build up these assets guys and what does go to plugins real quick and we will go
to I’ll show you right email form and you want to put these email forms on
your website and collect emails so when a new course comes out you can say hey
guys this new cost has dropped here’s an affiliate link alright well you can go
to a website called jvzoo.com and they have a list of products they’re
launching every single day and you can promote those products to your list and
it builds up and builds up and you get this big audience where you can go and
send out money I send out emails guys and make money so guys there is all of
these easy you know ninja forms easy to build powerful forms all of this stuff
in fact if we go to my website here guys when we go to my blog here you’ll see
down below ok this is a bad example but let’s just kind of go I’ll show you
something real quick just give this up real quick for you guys ok guys so on
this website there is a drop down box where it collects an email and down here
people click on this that pops up and I’m collecting an email so you want to
find plugins like this one where you can actually clicked emails but what you
want to do guys and is very important is use these applications but integrate
them with a third party email marketing system the reason you want to do that is
because you have more control you can export your list and you can do whatever
you like with it now I recommend get response because it’s very very cheap
and what this allows you to do guys is build out an email list and have a list
of customers you can promote to so there is a cost with this so let’s add this to
the list the cost of this is pretty cheap I think it’s a lot cheaper then
you would you would think so we have $10 per month and we have thirty two dollars
per month Isis and euros so I’d say a little bit more for us so let’s just say
15 dollars per month okay so let’s add this to our thing guys step five number
five collect emails they say that costs you
$20 per month okay alright let’s say that okay so you know you can go you can
go choose this package I’ll leave links for all the stuff below guys you can go
and choose these packages and you can go and collect emails build an email us any
marketer online that’s making millions of dollars right now will tell you the
best tool is the email marketing list that is the
best asset that’s how they make pretty much all of their money it’s that so
guys you create this email list and now our cost is at 70 what are we at we’re
sorry sixty seventy eighty we’re at eighty dollars and forty cents and would
it and like crazy guys and literally just told you how you can start making
money online for less than $100 guys so let’s recap get a website under name $59
find a course promote that course or find their course and compare that to
another course and promote it super easy guys free to do write an article free I
just showed you how to do that post the article free just push the button
collect emails 20 bucks per month to do that if you want you don’t have to do
that you don’t have to do that but I highly recommend it and it falls under
our $100 limit okay guys that’s it it’s so simple and you’re creating articles
like this guys and they will rank in Google okay and you can get results like
this they will rank in Google and you will get traffic and you only think
about how do I get the traffic Franklin well people are searching for things we

this course I don’t want to buy it right now I’m gonna go and search and Google
and you can bring it up a notch guys into YouTube videos if you like but
that’s free but people are gonna search and Google guys because they are
intrigued they’re interested but they don’t want to pull the trigger just yet

How Long Does It Take To Make Your Business Stable?


– How long does it take to
make your business stable? Is it three months, six months, 12 months? (upbeat music) (car revving) That’s actually not a very good question and I’ll tell you why. Because, first of all, how long it takes for you to build a stable,
sustainable business, everybody’s different. For some, it might take decades. For some, it might take years. And that has a lot to do with
your skill as an entrepreneur. How much experience do you have? So, say when someone says to you, “Oh, it’s going to take three months, “it’s going to take six months.” Well, it might take
three-to-six months for them but it might take
three-to-six years for you. That’s a big difference, right? It’s like someone is asking, “Well, how long does it
take to be a good chef?” Well, for some it’s
going to be a long time. For some, it’s not going
to be such a long time. So, that has to do with
how much you know, right? And your skillset. So, another way I also look at this, like, I’ll tell you a good example. In the beginning, in my business career, it would take years, it took me years to get to a place that
I would consider stable. Now, I could launch a business and I could make that profitable sometimes in less than a month. So, what’s the difference? You tell me, comment below. What is the difference? Because, why? Because now I have grown, right? I’ve grown as a person,
as an entrepreneur. That I have certain skills. I have the mindset and
I have walked the path. I know what it takes to
make a business work. I know how to launch
a successful business. I have the steps and I’ve done
it many, many times already. So, because of that. Another way I look at this is, you also need to consider that you never want to get
complacent in business. Just because you’re stable today doesn’t mean you’re stable tomorrow. Just because you’re successful today, doesn’t mean you’re successful tomorrow. See, the name of the
game is not to get rich, it’s to stay rich. Does that make sense? A lot of people, they become successful, they get rich but they don’t stay rich. Very few do. So, yes, celebrate. Give yourself a pat on the back. At the same time, don’t sit on your ass and say, “Hey, you know what? “I’m successful enough.” Then you get complacent. That’s when your enemies,
that’s when your competitions, that’s when they come in and
they take your castle, right? You always want to have a dose of healthy paranoia, I believe, that things are good,
things are doing well, but what if things change? What if what I’m doing right
now doesn’t work anymore? What if suddenly the technology that
I’m utilizing right now doesn’t work anymore? What if the platform
that I’m advertising on suddenly doesn’t work anymore? What if I lost my number one customer? What if I lose my number one
employee, then what happens? So, I think, having that insight, “Hey, expect the best but you
also prepare for the worst.” When you understand, when you recognize, when you know what are some of
the ways that you could lose. What are some of the ways that could take you out of your game and you prevent a lot of those things, that’s how you have a stable business. I think a lot of entrepreneurs, that a lot of good entrepreneurs, they’re not overly optimistic. From my experience, a lot of the good, highly
successful entrepreneurs who have built a company, who have longterm sustainable success, most of them, from my
experience, including myself, that sometimes we spend
a lot of time focusing, thinking about what could go wrong. What could go wrong? What are some of the risks? What are some of things that we don’t see? What are some of the
assumptions that we’re making that may not be true? So we don’t want to be overly confident. We want to have just a little

Today we will talk about how to start your
own business. First we are going to focus on starting your
business from scratch, and in the end we will talk about how you can start a business without
any money. Let’s jump right into it. First, Start with an idea. This is pretty straightforward. You need to come up with some kind of idea
for your business. Play with your idea, google it, see if someone
already came up with it, is their business successful, is the market saturated? How are you going to beat your competition? At this stage when you’re brainstorming your
idea you should keep two things in mind. If you want your business to be successful
you either have to be better than the rest, or to be different. For example maybe you want to start a business
selling cookies. Being better means that you’re prices are

you are unique, maybe your competition has defined look and size for the cookies, but
your company allows your customers to design their own cookies on your website and buy
them afterwards. This is being different. Keep this is mind when you are comparing yourself
with your competition. Also a very important question to ask is,
how much value do you bring your customers? Do you bring more value than your competition? If not, how can you increase it? The more value your product or service offers,
the easier it will be further down the road. So you’ve analyzed your idea and the market,
and you’ve calculated it should work just fine. Great, begin the second phase. Build your idea into reality. This is where most people get stuck, they
just come up with ideas and never act upon them. Having idea is great but it means nothing
if you never make it a reality. I can’t stress how important it is to get
started. It’s far better to try it and fail than to
not try at all. Believe that you’ll figure it out as you go. When you get to work on your idea, you will
face obstacles that you never thought even exist, and you will be forced to come up with
new solutions to overcome those obstacles, as a result your idea will change and mold
itself into something very different than it was when you first started. I wanted to learn something new everyday and
improve myself, and also create videos about it So I started this channel. At first I started with a whiteboard and a
camera, I would record a time lapse of me drawing images on the board. My drawing sucked, so, I had to change something. The idea was the same but I needed a different
approach. I tried animating the videos with Illustrator
and After Effects. Unfortunately that didn’t work as well, the
videos took too much time to produce, so, again I had to adapt and change. Lastly I found out a software that can make
animated whiteboard videos. It combined my first approach the whiteboard,
and the second approach animation to produce animated, blackboard in this case, videos. But do you think I would’ve known about the
software if I didn’t started in the first place? No! Not in a million years. No way I could’ve known that you can make
animated whiteboard videos with a software If I didn’t started. So many people get discouraged because they
think their idea is not good enough and it will fail. Well I failed so many times and I am still
failing when I am making these videos for my channel, but as Thomas Edison said, It’s
not failing Its just finding out different ways that don’t work. And last, this is very very important. Test your idea, get feedback, adapt and change,
then repeat the process. This is the reason I changed my second approach,
it took too much time to get feedback. This is one of the mistakes a lot of people
make. They build their business without testing
and they think since they’ve spent too much time on their business people must like it. I learned this the hard way. I’ve spent more than 200 hours on a single
video, I thought wow this is brilliant, people will absolutely love it. So I posted the video and went to bed. In the morning, I thought, I’d have thousands
of views, but in reality, I woke up and had like 11 views. So don’t do this mistake with your business. Build something as fast as possible, show
it to people get their feedback, adapt and change, then repeat the process. The main thing about building a business is
really to get started, persist, and to have the right mindset. If one thing doesn’t work don’t give up
and quit, change it and eventually you will find something that does work. But how do you start a business without any
money? Let’s say you have no money in your pocket
or maybe just as little as a 100 bucks, and you want to build a business. Can you do it? Yes. Will it be easy? No. Building a business is hard, and building
a business without any money can be even harder, and not every business can be started without
money First. Build your business around your skills and
knowledge. For example if you are good at marketing,
you can start, let’s say a dropshipping business, and if you’re good at cooking, start
a cookie business. For me its Android. I am skilled in coding android apps, so my
business will be related to an app, because I don’t have to spend money for the
application. I can develop those apps myself, so the only
thing that I will lose is time. But hey when you don’t have money you must
trade your time. Second. Build your business as an online business. In today’s world we have a big advantage as
we can reach millions of people online virtually free. You can start an Instagram account, or a YouTube
channel Then you can use your skills to give your audience value and reason to follow and
watch you. After that you can monetize your audience
and continue to grow your business. I’ve seen so many clever ideas that are successful
on YouTube. One dude was great at physics so he started
making simple videos about physics, people loved it and donated money for every video
he made, another example is a dude that started One guy was trying to learn new things as
fast as possible, like juggling, riding a unicycle – and recorded it on camera. People loved to see how he struggles and eventually
reaches his goal and also supported his videos. I personally follow one guitar player that
does electrical guitar covers from popular songs. Over 2 years he gained around 200 thousand
subscribers, he uploads the songs on different platforms where his audience can buy his songs,
thus effectively starting a business using his skills and knowledge instead of a starting
capital. Third. Obviously not every business can be started
without money. If that’s the case with your idea, you can
try to secure an investment. You can search your local business accelerators
or find investors online, but you will have to have a solid business idea and a business
plan that you can pitch to your potential investors. You can also try crowdfunding. There was an idea with a cube that had different
buttons and wheels that people can use to keep themselves entertained. It reached around 150 thousand supporters
and more than 6 million dollars in funding. It shows you that it really is possible
to start a business without money, and the only thing that’s holding you back is your

How to Start a Business and Grow it to a Billion Dollar Company


– Fancy homes. Private jets. Condos overlooking the Strip. I’ve had it all. But you know what one
thing I haven’t had is? I haven’t built a billion
dollar company yet. And I’m gonna share with
you how to build one, and the mistake that stopped
me from building one yet. (gentle instrumental music) Most of my friends are entrepreneurs. Similar to me, they’ve done well. And when you look at me, you
think, oh successful guy, nice home, he has money,
he dresses decent. But you know what, compared to my friends, I’m really, really poor. I have a lot of friends whose salary, not business revenue, but their salary is in the hundreds of
millions of dollars a year. I have friends on the Fortune 1,000 list, and people are worth five, 10… Actually I don’t know anyone above 10, but I know quite a few people between five and 10 billion dollars. That’s a lot of money, right? People think millions of
dollars is a lot of money, no, billions of dollars is a lot of money. I’ve seen some of my
friends walk in a Vegas casino, and people are
really sad, and they’re like here’s 50 grand. But you know what? Them giving 50 grand to people is like me giving a dollar to someone. That’s how rich they are when they’re worth five or 10 billion dollars, on the Forbes, or Fortune 1,000 list. So here’s a thing that you need to do if you want to build a
billion dollar business. It’s not about how hard you’re working, or how smart people you have on your team, because you know what, to create a million dollar business, or a
multi-million dollar business, you need that as well. But the difference between
creating a business that does hundreds of
millions, versus billions of dollars is you need
a business that solves a problem for a really big market cap. One of my first businesses
is called Crazy Egg. A lot of businesses are using it. We have hundreds and
thousands of companies that are using Crazy Egg
each and every single month. And what it does is it helps
you optimize your website, so that way more of your visitors convert into customers,
and that’s a decent pain that a lot of people are experiencing. But here’s a problem, and here’s why Crazy will never be a billion dollar business. It doesn’t solve a big enough problem. Now think about Uber on the other hand. They’re solving transportation problems. They’re making it more efficient for you to get to one place, to another, and spending less money doing that, and best of all, you
don’t even have to drive. You can be a poor person, and now you can have a driver just like
those rich people have. Uber is solving a huge problem. It was such a big problem that they increased the market size
of the whole taxi industry. That’s right, before Uber, the taxi industry was actually smaller. They didn’t just take a
portion of the taxi industry, they grew it, and making it way bigger. So if you don’t solve a big problem, and go after a huge market, you’re not gonna create a billion dollar business. Now whatever idea you have,
you have somewhat competitors. It may not be direct competitors, like Uber’s not directly
competing with taxis. A lot of people aren’t like should I take a taxi, or Uber, it’s more so they’re like oh I need to go to a place, I’d rather have an Uber, versus having my own car. Like me, I don’t even drive, right, but when I’m in New York it’s easier to grab a cab, then it is
to grab Uber in most cases. But if you’re not going
after a really big market, you won’t do well. And a lot of people,
and you may be thinking, hey if I wanna create a
billion dollar business, I wanna create this new
category, but no, stop. Sure you can innovate in a sector, but go after something
that’s a really big TAM. If you’re not familiar with TAM, T, A, M, stands for, TAM is total
addressable market size. So if you go after something
big like a Salesforce’s market size, or the CRM market, and lets say they’re worth 50 billion. Will we be bigger than Salesforce? If you dream it, maybe it’ll happen. But chances are you’re
not, but that’s okay. If you’re, you know, 5% of Salesforce, you’re still a billion dollar company. So if you go after something
that’s really huge, like the advertising
space, or the CRM space, or support, or if you
go after transportation, or automation, or trucking,
or shipping containers, how boring that may sound, like companies like Docker, or Dock,
or whatever they are. They’re huge. It’s because they’re going after something that’s totally big. And if you go after a
really huge market size, even if you take 1% of
it, you can do well. I was at a conference the other day, speaking in Arizona, and
a company was holding it. It was called NexCon, and it was held by this company called Nextiva, which offers voice over IP phone services. And they’re already doing over 100 million dollars in revenue. And you know what the founder told me? He’s like, “Neil, it’s
crazy, the voice over “IP market, you know like
those Vonage commercials, “the woo-hoo, hoo-hoo-hoo,
and you pick up the phone, “and you can call over
the internet, those guys? “That market has only 8% penetration.” That means 92% of the people out there are still using landlines. That’s a small market penetration. But that means five, 10 years from now, it can grow to be even bigger and bigger. Yeah Nextiva’s doing
over 100 million dollars, and they’re not even the
biggest player in this space. There’s companies like Ring Central, and Vonage, that are already
worth a billion plus. But as you can see, you probably haven’t heard of Nextiva, yet they’re still making hundreds of millions of dollars. So if you go after a huge
market, you have a much better shot of creating a
billion dollar business. And that’s why you see
me creating multiple products in the marketing space. It’s not that I want four, or five different companies, it’s because I can combine them all, and I eventually will, and I can have a business that’s going after a really big TAM. Total addressable market. And if you go after a big
market, what does that mean? You can have a big company. So if you’re not sure if your idea is going to be big enough, where you can hit that billion dollar
mark, leave a comment, and I’ll respond, and I’ll tell you if it’s a big enough idea. And if you’re unsure, and you need help, go to Google Finance, you can see other publicly traded companies,
and their financials, that’ll help you determine
if idea’s a good idea. You can just type in a stock hold like Apple, AAPL, and it’ll reveal their stock price, and market cap. The other thing you can do is go look at Google Trends, and type in key words related to your space, and it’ll show you how many people are searching for stuff related to your space,
like the word computers. So once you have that
chart, and if it’s huge, you’re doing a good job. If it’s small, you’re doing a bad job, and compare it when you’re
using Google Trends, to the term digital marketing. It has to be at least 10 times bigger than the word digital marketing. And again, if you’re

over the past two years we've grown one big happy life into a multiple six-figure business and today we're going to be talking about how we run it as a couple hi I'm Justin and I'm Tasha with one big happy life and we make videos about how to find balance build wealth and live happy everything that you need to create the life that you want so go ahead and subscribe so you don't miss a single video today's video is special because it's brought to you from my parents lake house so hopefully you can see behind us it's a wonderful view and lots of fun being here so today we wanted to talk more about how we run our business as a couple because while we're involved in every aspect of it we have pretty defined areas of concentration that we each do and just as an FYI we are like really right by the lake the water is right there and so boats are always coming and going so you might hear some boat noise some cicada noise that's life on the lake so in terms of our roles like Joseph said we both do have very defined roles and my role is the visionary so I come up with a lot of the big ideas in the business like where the business is going what our brand is all about like I'm the one that dreams up all of these really fun big creative ideas and then what happens is I take those big ideas and I take them to Joseph and then we have conversations about them and how to make them a reality so I am the integrator or really kind of the operations manager and so I help take what she sees in the future and make it a reality by putting plans in place both for money and for time more often than not that's our scarcest resource and then see what we need to do to make sure that we hit it so I also do just from a practical perspective so I do most of our writing not all because we do have some contractors that do write for us but I work with them let them know kind of what the expectation is what the tone is and when they submit their assignments to me we kind of have conversations about okay this works for the one big happy life brand voice this doesn't so that they know going forward and over time their writing gets very close to mirroring mine I also do all of our design we have an outsource any of that yet but we are I'm hoping to have a designer come on board in the next few months that I can hand off the design work to and so as far as writing goes and while I help write some things from time to time I definitely write all of our tweets from Twitter and I also do our dogs Instagram account one big happy dog and that's Neil and I run the general one big happy life Instagram account and also our Facebook account alexis has actually taken over our Pinterest account so she's been doing that because she does work for the business but I used to do all of our Pinterest as well and I managed our website now the other very large time-consuming thing that I do is handling all of our technology so whenever we need new cameras new software new computers anything like that I do all of the research figure out how it's all gonna work and play well together and then put it all together hopefully everything works out just fine so and and there's a lot more to that than I originally thought there was going to be there's always something that we're looking at it's like oh gosh it'd be nice if we had this thing or that thing and then I have to screen those ideas and then come back to well what do we actually need what's gonna make the biggest impact and then on the video editing side I used to do basically 99% of our video editing and now I'm down to probably closer to 50% because we do outsource a lot of our video editing now because one of the things to keep in mind with one big heavy life people think like when I say I'm getting ready to leave my job and work on the business full-time they'll say oh you're quitting your job to be a youtuber it's like while yes you might learn about one big happy life through YouTube and our YouTube videos there's so it that's like the tip of the iceberg like to use a really generic metaphor but the YouTube channel is just this top little piece is also just this top little piece of our revenue and there was this whole big behemoth underneath that you might not see so our videos we have the lifestyle fix over on the financial diet we've done videos for other brands just on their website not even on anything one big happy life branded and then of course we also do videos for wealth builders Academy for the master classes every month like August master class is how to create a debt payoff plan so that by itself is four or five videos plus a workbook that walks people through step by step everything they need to know to create a debt payoff plan so there are way more videos than I have time to edit on top of writing and shooting and all of that so we brought someone on board to do our video editing for us some of it yeah and that's been a huge help we also got an awesome video editing computer recently so that's saved a lot of time off and then husband I'm just so excited I've been waiting to get that for some and so on the backside of the business right because we've just been talking about kind of content creation and all that stuff on the front but on the back side so I do I maintain our content calendar right so I will often brainstorm the ideas and topics that we're gonna be coming up with and I'll plug them into the content calendar making sure that things are well distributed including planning out when the sponsored posts are gonna be coming up and I also do our profit projections where I plan the lines of business and which ones we're gonna be promoting when over the course of the rest of this year and also into next year because we kind of forecast out at least a year in out in the business now when we're working with other brands we both do contract negotiations depending on the size of the contract either one of us might take it if it's and say let's say $5,000 or under we also have an agent and an attorney depending on the complexity of the scope of work and how large the contract is sometimes it's just a lot easier to have somebody else doing the back-and-forth over this term or that term so it doesn't suck away all of our time because not every contract you know goes get signed and executed sometimes it's like no this just isn't gonna work for one reason or another and so we don't want to put in a whole bunch of time that then you know into not going anywhere and it's so funny because one of the things that we thought as we brought more people onto our team and you know everyone is on a part-time or contractual basis we kind of thought that that would just free us up completely from those things and the truth is that it doesn't because we are the final decision-makers so we still have to have contract like if our when our agent is negotiating something and something new comes up she has to come back to us and we have to have conversations about it same thing with our attorneys so we're not completely removed but it does free up quite a number of hours for us to be able to work in our zones of genius which for me is like imagining new and interesting places that one big happy life can go and for Joseph it's well it's making sure we can get there and have all the capacity and money so I do all the accounting and the taxes and so I know when money is actually coming in how much is actually going out sometimes with with these ideas that we have and where we want to go we think it's going to make this much or a cost you know this amount and then we realize well we need this there's no thing this additional thing and that makes some things more expensive than we thought they were gonna be fortunately there's also the case where things come in and it's like oh that's not gonna cost us anything at all that's there's gonna be a great thing so that is just kind of a little behind-the-scenes look just really quick into one big happy life I'm sure you're gonna have tons of questions so be sure to drop those in the comments down below because we will be doing lots more
